John, you used to work on my Landrover before I moved out of Massachusetts. I was so excited when I found out about this book months ago. I cannot wait to read it!! I'm so happy you've decided to share your stories and even more happy to be reading excellent reviews already. May you have a successful writing career!!! You're not going to give up the shop are you?

I am intrigued by this book and plan on getting it.I have a 21yo son who has struggled and been labeled LDD,ADHD, Bipolar, and the last diagnosis he got at age 13 was Aspergers. He was in and out of different school programs because he couldn't handle being mainstreamed yet he was very intelligent. He was reading before he was talking. He also sat down and decided to write a book at age 16 which was published. Since then he has written 2 more, the third one coming out this month (sourcebooks publishing co). He wasn't ready to write about his struggles so he wrote a humor book titled "505 Unbelievably Stupid Web Pages". To me (his mom)Dan is the sweetest person you would ever want to meet. He still struggles with social skills and other problems related to his bipolar, but he has come a long way. Thanks for your bringing this still "silent" disorder to the forefront with your book. I look forward to reading it and sharing it with Dan.

Great news! I wish you loads of continued good luck!
I can't imagine you've ever bought "elle" before now, John! Are you being interviewed by Playboy or Penthouse and such so our husbands/boyfriends can buy them, "for the articles."

And what a nice note from anonymous.

John,
Just read tore through the PEOPLE magazine looking for you.

It was the Best Gown Special Double Issue.

To say that I wasn't amused seeing you, my friend, among Lindsay Lohan and Angelina Jolie would be an understatement.

I am salivating over your book. I cannot wait.
